Fun with Statcounter

Recent search terms that brought folks here:

Study Buddy Koby Bear - I'm sure the fine folks that make this bear appreciate my mockery of their "just-in-time-for-the-holiday-season" educational toy
ben kweller sha sha - Guten Tag, Germany!
cd snan dmb - I appeared due to a typo - "snan" should have been "scan" - who knows what this means?
what is the meaning mabrouk - Hola Uruguay! And what are you searching for?
tucker rule pictures - Since Jack and Tucker do rule, we have pictures. I need more of poor little neglected youngest child Tucker though.

Kid's a flippin' genius...

And I have proof...

Jack did this. ON HIS OWN. No coaching from me. He just up and did it.

Jack's been watching more Nick Jr. over Playhouse Disney these days. He's addicted to Diego, Dora and Blue's Clues. At least it's more educational, because these days we're so busy it's hard to pull him away from that TV. I finally had to cut it off this morning. Tantrum ensued. What can you say? He's two.

Anyway, I have noticed that Nick Jr. tends to air more commercials than Playhouse Disney, and with Christmas approaching (I know, it's only September, but it seems to start earlier and earlier...) the retailers are really pushing the product. Jamie already blogged about Pooper Scooper Barbie. I've also noticed a Teddy Ruxpin-esque Panda called Study Buddy Koby Bear. He's an "educational" toy, but what does the commercial start with? A joke. A bad one:

Panda Ruxpin: How do you get a handkerchief to dance?
Little girl: How?
Panda Ruxpin: You put a little boogie in it!
HA HA HA HA HA

Oh, that's education right there. Nothin' beats a nose-picking joke. And who's getting this for their kid's stocking?

I know someone's about to wake up, so I'll keep this quick...

Just a quick post to let everyone know that all is well in our household. Tucker's 4 week checkup was just over a week ago, and kiddo weighed in at 11 lbs., 9 oz. Child is a chunk! Especially when compared to skinny little Jack. But he's healthy and thriving and we couldn't be happier. We're having a hard time getting him to sleep once he's laid down, so there's lots of napping in swings going on these days. And due to the issues of getting two children to nap at the same time each day so I can work, I'm going back to working nights, which can be so hard. As far as working, it works out because I'm truly more of a night person, but when I work that makes me stay up later at night because I am wired from working, and that just makes it so much harder to wake up bright and early each morning to care for the boys. However, as Tucker grows this will all change and work itself out.

And Tucker's crying for a bottle now, so I'm cutting this post short...

What does it say about me if I am both left brained AND right brained? I have an ambidextrous mind???

You Are 50% Left Brained, 50% Right Brained

The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.
Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.
If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.
Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.
Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.
If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.
Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.
