Finally, The Poop Post

Yes, I am a lazy blogger. I know it. You know it. Statcounter, with it's tragic drop in stats last I checked (weeks ago), knows it.

But I have to share.

I had to go to Sunday School training for an hour yesterday evening (yes, I am teaching Sunday School. Fear of speaking in public not-withstanding - a fear which extends to kids as I give them credit for their intelligence where credit's due - I am doing it. Well, to be honest, I am being the helper this time. But I will have to teach. Anywho.).

Anyway, A called about 30 minutes into my meeting to say: "J just pooped in the potty".

In the background I can hear the J-Man screaming "I POOPOOED IN THE POTTY!".

So, praise all around. I came home with the following:
  1. A Hot Wheels "Jurassic Attack" monster truck
  2. A plush Spiderman (clearance table at Kroger, a deal) which J, upon seeing, said "I am going to sleep with Spiderman tonight). I don't understand the Spiderman love, just simply because he has never seen any Spiderman cartoons or movies (definitely too adult). Found this on Youtube though, which he loves.
  3. Chocolate Chip Cookies. It's a celebration ya'll.

Unfortunately the child pooped his brand-new Spiderman underwear this morning, saying "Do you smell it?". But at least he's done it now, and I hope this is the turning of a huge new leaf in potty-training. 'Cuz he's totally got #1 down.

Nuggets of Bloggin' Inspiration

I've been super busy. Plus, like Angelle, I sometimes "have nothing interesting to say".

It's funny, because sometimes I will get little nuggets of inspiration and write it down. But then I actually have to sit down and find the time and the mood to actually write something. And that can be darn difficult, considering that my most recent call to Dell (don't ask) resulted in Jackson coloring on the back of our couch (thank goodness to Crayola for washable crayons) and touching his own poop (we're hoping this is a sign that potty-training will get better. I did accomplish the art of getting him to pee three times this morning in the potty for a sticker reward).

Anyway, to my nuggets of inspiration:

1. "Minimum Wage" - a They Might Be Giants tune from Flood. I don't remember what I was originally thinking about when I wrote this down. The song is hilarious, because it starts out with a man singing "Minimum Wage!" and a whip-snap, then gears into some Muzak. I wonder if my friend Lynn has heard it, and if so, does it remind her of her days at Bi-Lo, because it's total grocery store Muzak. My first job was at the mall, at a little jewelry store called Afterthoughts (later bought up by Claire's). I worked there for a month, and in that time had 3 different managers. I left due to hours (I was hired in to work 15 hours a week and they cut me down to 3, but manager 3 was "disappointed" when I left to work at Sears for better pay and way more hours. Whatever.). The preteens were the worst part of the job - I think preteen girls may be, in fact, of the devil - they would come through (our store had two entrances, basically serving as a shortcut to the food court) and check things out, knock the hats off the wall, and not buy a dang thing. I don't know how those kinds of stores make money. I was hired as prom season was closing, so there was a good cash flow during that time and then...crickets. It would be a Friday night and I would maybe sell a $3 pair of earrings. The other bad part of the job - I had to pierce ears; it was required. Who thinks it is a good idea to have a 16-year-old girl piercing ears? Not me. I pierced one pair of ears - there's a poor gal out there who's probably just graduating college this year, and likely still curses the day she went to Afterthoughts to get her ears pierced. They were slightly crooked.

2. The Dove ads. I love the Dove beauty ads. I know this got a lot of press about a year or two ago, so I am jumping on that wagon late, but who cares. The most recent one I saw was a magazine ad. It was one of the aging gracefully ads, but the ad showed a woman - nude but covered) - and you can see her, rolls and all. And God bless her, but she looks radiant in the ad. I love it. Having had body issues specifically for the past 8 years or so (OK, well who doesn't have body issues, even if they seem perfect, right?), and finally coming to terms with the fact that I am likely never going to be that size 6-8 I was in early college, and that's OK - I really appreciate those ads. I had a lot more to blog about it earlier - like going into how I gained the weight (I was not a good vegetarian - I ate a lot more Pasta-Roni than vegetables & tofu, like a good vegetarian should. I am not a vegetarian anymore but if you are hurray to you, just make sure you eat those veggies).

It's late but I am trying to upload to Snapfish and order before I go to bed. I have 20 credits expiring April 2 and want to use them! We are so backed up on ordering prints. It's embarrassing so I won't admit how far behind we are, but it's bad. That's the downside of going digital. So I am trying out Snapfish - they seem cheap and I have heard good things. This week/weekend I am going to try to take some portraits of Tucker. It's one of the reasons we went for the big camera upgrade. Poor Tucker doesn't even have any photos on our walls - I need to buy some frames! I can't wait until we get a Walmart in this town.

Need to explain the previous post...

This week has been draining. Tucker has come down with his first cold, but luckily it's been without complications. No fever, so all we need to do is run the humidifier at night and dose him with Triaminic (today was the first day since early Tuesday morning that we have not given him the stuff).

Anyway, so the last post ended the day in which Tucker came down sick (just coughing at that point). Jackson was an absolute little terror (I love him, but he's approaching 3 and it's the truth). Just before A came home, our day capped with me on the phone with the pediatrician's nurse, trying to get the dosage for the Triaminic, when Jackson pulled a poop out of his diaper and showed it to me.

Nice.

You mean everything they said in the ad wasn't true?

Has anyone seen the ad for the Huggies Cool Alert diapers?

The basic premise (they're pull-ups, training pants, by the by) of these diapers is that, once your child wets him/herself, the diaper gets cold, and your child is so bothered by the coldness that it reinforces the idea of "diapers suck, underwear rules" that potty-training parents are trying to convey to the kids. In the ad, the boy immediately runs to the bathroom and goes after he feels how "cool" the diaper is.

Jackson was interested in the ad (he sees advertising with kids in it and tends to pay attention), and I am willing to try anything, and since they cost no more than normal Pull-Ups, and since they still have the Cars graphics on them (and since Jackson hates being cold), I thought I would give them a whirl.

These things don't work that way on my boy.

He could care less how cold those things get. He'll still sit in a wet diaper for hours if you let him. Plus, unlike regular Pull-Ups, these leave a weird residue on him sometimes - I've had to turn around and put him in the bath because a wipe won't get that stuff off. I think that's what bothers me the most.

So we're back to regular Pull-Ups. And yes, I know these things won't get him potty-trained any faster - the only reason we use them is around age 1 it got hard to get Jackson to hold still for a diaper (I think we're heading down the same road with Tucker). I think tomorrow we may go all underwear, no diaper, since we have no plans to leave the house. We'll see if he's agreeable to that.

The Lady's Man, and Unsolicited Advice

OK, so we went to playgroup Wednesday and Jackson had a lot of fun. So did I since I got to hang out with actual adults for a couple of hours. Anyway, Jackson played with a little girl, 2, and a boy that will soon turn 4 (if you're doing the math, my boy's smack-dab in the middle age-wise).

Well, it comes time to leave (at which time I had to bribe Jackson with watching Cars when we got home because he didn't want to go and I wanted to avoid a scene). Jackson went up to the little girl - who is cute as a button - says "I love you" and gives her a hug and a kiss. And then keeps hugging her, and which point I'm like "OK, that's sweet, you can let go now". And it hit me that I am not ready for the girls. Because he's ridiculously cute, and there will be a line of them. And ya'll, I knew gals in high school that did "the guy drive-by", and I know I am going to start noticing the same pattern of cars passing the house in about 12 years or so. Sigh. I mean, I know it won't be a big deal for 12 years or so, but I can fast-forward in my brain to it.

__________

Now my unsolicited advice - if you have a toddler, or will have a toddler sometime - here's some bed advice. See, months back we bought Jackson a toddler bed. We had to, because Tucker was arriving and we needed to prepare him. And he actually took to it quickly, did not want the crib, and it was good. Then it went bad. He would not sleep in it. When he did, he would quickly move into our room. Then I broke my leg and we were totally in limbo because I could not put him to bed.

About two months ago, I started recognizing something in Jackson. The boy does not stay still in bed. I would often walk by and he would actually be half-out of his bed, and I would shift his legs back in. I think Tucker might be the same way.

So, my unsolicited advice to those who might need it - if you have an active sleeper, I would strongly suggest skipping the toddler bed (unless you already have one available, in which case it's worth a shot - we'll probably use it with Tucker just because we have it). We had two twin beds in the bonus upstairs area, so we moved a mattress and box springs into Jackson's room, and he loves it. It's low like the toddler bed, because we didn't bring down the rails, and he has so much more room to move. He still has to be read to sleep, but after all the toddler-bed drama, that's really OK. Many nights he stays in it all night, and on the few he doesn't, he just walks into our room around 3am and that's OK. Last night he actually chose his bed over ours, so that's fantastic news versus just months ago.

Azucar!

I recently brought my CD player/radio from work back home, since I never listen to it while at the office, and would rather use it in my kitchen. We've been enjoying it at mealtimes.

So, you're looking for the hippest in kiddo tunes? Look no further.

Jackson gives a thumbs-up to:
  • Fisher Price Little People Favorite Animal Songs - it's our "On the Road selection. He demands "my music" once we enter the car. Favorite song: "5 Little Monkeys". It should be noted that this is the only kiddie music he likes.
  • Celia Cruz, Mi Vida es Cantar - he picked this one over Toddler Hitz yesterday. Something about keyboards, horns and that salsa beat gets the kiddo going. I had not listened to this CD in a couple of years, and now I am hooked on it again!
  • The Beatles 1 - And this will make his Granna PROUD. I am hoping he will start singing along because that will absolutely thrill her.
  • Cars Soundtrack - OK, so we don't really own the CD. We downloaded some of the songs on our mp3 for driving but that's about it. You see, Jackson has watched the movie so much that he sings along with the songs, particularly Sheryl Crow's "Real Gone", James Taylors' "Our Town", and Brad Paisley's (say it ain't so) "Find Yourself". As far as soundtracks go - and I'm not a big fan of soundtracks - this one is better than most.

Jackson's Thumbs Down:

  • Toddler Hitz - I cannot find this one online to link it, but after testing this out the other day, he has requested "not the yellow CD" over the past few days every time I open the case. HATES it. We bought it as Best Buy a couple of years ago, and he wasn't thrilled with it then either. And it is bad. The worst it gets in kiddie-music bad.
  • Veggie Tales: On the Road with Bob and Larry - Jackson went through a brief phrase - about two months - of liking the Veggie Tales. They were kinda cute, and had morals (unlike Tom & Jerry which he had been hooked on before), and kinda always included an adult component too (for example, one story was based on Don Quixote, and the "Gated Community" song in the Sheerluck Holmes). During that phase Jackson racked up books and DVDs from excited grandparents (and us). Then he dropped it like a bad habit, and we learned not to go all-out on anything but cars. 'Cuz the child will always love cars.

I love it. I kiss it. I love it again.

I got a new digital camera - a Canon Digital Rebel XT - for my birthday from A, and it's so freakin' awesome. As Jackson would say: "I love it. I kiss it. I love it again."

I am still working my way around getting used to the camera - it's my first SLR - but I made these two shots yesterday and today. The one of the boys is so cool, I think I am going to put that one on the wall!

Father and Son - Photo Deleted

Jackson and Tucker - Photo Deleted

Jackson thought it was hilarious and so awesome that Tucker would sit in his lap (well, between his legs). Tucker did keep sliding down - I think he wanted to keep his eye on Jackson - but this camera is so much faster, I was able to get a couple of well-posed shots out of the 10 (more or less) that I took. Jackson did VERY well, I must say - more genuine grins than cheesy grins this time!

And this, folks, is why we had another...

Watching these two interact as brothers brings a smile to my face every time.

(Except the rare occasions when Jackson forgets Tucker is a baby, and throws something hard and plastic his way).

Jackson loves making the little guy laugh, and usually succeeds. He laughs at Tucker a lot too.

We're working on rice cereal with Tucker - and boy can that fellow eat, so we're moving to peas soon - and Jackson thinks Tucker eating cereal is hilarious since he makes such a mess.

Just today Jackson pulled his chair right in front of Tucker in the high chair, and informed me that "We're talking, Mommy".

We're working on sharing, but right now that works to our advantage since Tucker doesn't need to chew on Jackson's toys anyway. Matchbox cars were not made for baby's mouths. Jackson is fast going to have to learn to keep his toys put away, since the day that Tucker decides to crawl is fast approaching. He can put his legs under his body, and he's strong, so it's really just a matter of figuring things out.

Oh, am I in for it when they're both mobile...

Christmas Wrapup

I've been a terrible blogger lately. But here's the lowdown on the past couple of weeks or so since I've blogged last.

Christmas was great. Jackson was way excited about the Christmas tree, which we actually made sure to put up a couple of weeks before the big day. He spent a lot of time admiring the ornaments and removing a few from the tree. Luckily I kept the non-breakable "sacrificial" ornaments at his level. Also over the past couple of weeks, Jackson has decided that he will not be called "Jack", but he is "Jackson". I have been calling him "Jack" for almost three years now, so it's a bit of an adjustment. But it's his name, and I'm respecting his feelings on the matter.

We discovered the source of Tucker's constant chewing. Two teeth arrived just in time for Christmas, while we were at their Granna and Pa's house (my inlaws). Jackson got a tractor for Christmas from them, as well as other goodies. Unfortunately he won't get on it yet. "It's scary." But he's fascinated with it and I am sure by spring, when we have some good weather, he'll want to be on this all the time:

PHOTO DELETED

Christmas morning and day was toy overload. We could hardly get them (Jackson primarily) to eat or sleep for all the new toys. In our attempts to expand his interests beyond all-things-auto, Jackson got a castle Christmas morning:

PHOTO DELETED

Of course, the next day cars had managed to defeat the knights to take ownership of the castle.

Jackson was more than happy to help Tucker unwrap and play with his gifts.

Happy 2007 everyone!

The Southern Gentleman

Heard while Jack was playing with a toy (ornament) airplane and toy (ornament) dump truck. The dump truck had just given the airplane a ride:

Airplane: Thank you.
Truck: You're welcome.

Chillin' at my Folks

I should be going to bed, but thought I'd take this opportunity for a quick post.

First a quick kiddo update - Tucker went to the doctor for his 4 mo. checkup, weighing in a 16.1 lbs! He's now 75th percentile in both height and weight, so good and proportional. He's doing great.

A's at a conference in Virginia all this week, so the kiddos and I are at my folks' house since they only live an hour away, and live closer to my office than I do too. One week without another adult around would just be too much. Anyway, Tucker and Jack are having a great time being spoiled, but not without incident. They've both been "Mr. Late Night Party" for several nights now, and finally both of them went to bed decently tonight (our 4th night here). Additionally, we had to remove the baby gate yesterday, as Jack pushed against it too hard and fell down two steps, scaring the h-e-double hockey sticks out of me and him (I've since read online that those gates are really only guaranteed until about 24 mos.).

We talked about it this morning, Jack and I, as I wanted to be sure he was aware that the gate is down, and that he needs to be more careful around the stairs.

Me: Jack, remember yesterday? How you fell on the stairs?
Jack (ticked off look of concentration).
Me: Papaw took the gate down. So be careful around the stairs, OK?
Jack: I cryin'.
Me: Baby, I know you cried. It scared me too.

Making Peace with Tinky Winky

OK, so Jack loves the Teletubbies.

I've never been a fan. They're just plain weird with the laughing baby in the sun. And forget any shred of educational value. Add to something I read months back (can't find the article now) of a link between Teletubbies and language delays (thank goodness Jack is about a year ahead of where he's supposed to be), and I'd rather not watch them.

But I've made my peace. They REALLY make Jack laugh, and as with all things on the tube, this will be a phase and within a few weeks he probably won't care for them.

I've decided they're the toddler equivalent to Weekend at Bernie's. No value whatsoever, just a dumb laugh. And laughing is never a bad thing. So I guess I can abide Tinky Winky until Jack's over it.

My Little Chatterbox

Not too long ago I blogged a bit about Jack's speech delay. Just months ago, while he was right where he should be, even ahead, regarding receptive language, he was VERY behind in regards to expressive language and had a language delay of almost a year (at around 19 mos. old he was tested and had no words at all; at 2 he only had four words total).

Well, since Jack receives speech therapy through the state, he was due a review to see if he still even qualified for speech therapy. Jack talks about 90 miles a minute these days, so I assumed he was not going to need therapy any longer, but requested that his therapist do another evaluation to be sure (plus I just wanted to know where we stand).

I am VERY proud to report that, regarding expressive language, Jack rated at almost 3.5 years - he's 2 yrs., 7 mos. - almost a year ahead of his actual age. We were floored and thrilled. So Jack is doing incredibly well, needless to say.

Tucker's doing great. He turns 4 mos. old this Friday. He's also a little chatterbox - he makes a lot of noise, that one - and he's just about to sit up on his own. We think he's been working on some teeth too over the last month, which would not be surprising if he follows Jack's pattern - Jack's first teeth appeared at around 4.5 mos.

We had a great Thanksgiving, even though some of our loved ones could not make it due to a stomach virus (what a day to get one, poor things). Food was eaten, football was watched, Lego Star Wars was played. I think Tucker enjoyed his first Turkey Day:

PHOTO DELETED

We're now officially into Christmas - we put up the tree just last night and Jack LOVES IT. We're working on learning some Christmas tunes - Jack loves singing. Jack and Tucker's Granna got them Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas and the boys have been enjoying that.

And I apologize for the lack of bloggery lately - between running after the boys, working and trying to exercise (that's new starting this week - I need to fit in my clothes better and am generally just not happy about the state of things regarding my shape) - it's just too busy around here to make time!

Daddy Fix It

OK, I'm going to preface this with a little journey into the past.

Christmas 1980. We're all at my Aunt & Uncle's home for Christmas. My cousin Rachel - who, might I add, I practically worshipped as a child - got a nice, new, BEE-YOO-TI-FUL Barbie dollhouse for Christmas. I'm two, so what do I do? Stick my head in it. Through the front door. Guess I needed a better look.

I don't know if they buttered my head or just turned it the right way, but somehow both the dollhouse and I managed to get out of that without any permanent damage.

Why this trip into the past, you're wondering?

Saturday, while I was away at work, Jack managed to climb into Tucker's crib - a big no-no, and he knows it. While up there, he pokes his leg out through the slats, and he's stuck. Screaming bloody murder, from what I was told.

A didn't have a saw, so he just had to get a hammer and beat the crib until it busted to free Jack's leg. He's unscathed. Unfortunately the crib, although glued, has a nice, long crack in it. We're hoping it holds until Tucker's ready for the toddler bed. It seems secure.

So what lesson doesJack learn from this experience? Well, first A told me that he tried to climb in the crib AGAIN. Then:

Jack sticking his leg through the (wider) slats on our glider...
Heather, my sister-in-law (paraphrased): Jack, what if your leg gets stuck again?
Jack: Daddy fix it.

Oh, Atlanta! (Post Two)

After leaving the aquarium, we took Jack to the park for a bit, and then after throwing a tantrum when we had to leave we went to eat at The Varsity. We thought Jack would at least drink his milkshake but he was tired and therefore not in the mood to agree to anything. The food was your basic, fried drive-in stuff; I unfortunately got sick, I think mainly because I don't eat a lot of greasy food and that combined with IHOP in the morning was just too much. I was better by the morning, which was good because we had a date with the zoo. But first, the view from the fabulous Days Inn of downtown Atlanta:

The daytime shot says everything you need to know about Atlanta. Everywhere you go, something is coming up or being torn down. It's fascinating in a way.

So off to the zoo. After a brief hello to the flamingos, we were off to see the elephants and then the lion, which Jack loved. After that we saw a lot of primates, including what appears to be one of the main attractions at Zoo Atlanta, the gorillas. They even had gorilla babies! It was amazing, but it was here, however, that we discovered Jack's unfortunate dislike of everything in the primate family:
Look at the gorillas, Jack!
No, No, No!
Check out the lemers!
No, No, No!
This endangered monkey!
No, No, No!

I think we all get where this is going. So after hearing a lot of No! No! No!, we came across the Komodo Dragon, and discovered that's what our boy wanted to see.

We also saw the panda (No! No! No!) and the tigers (which Jack loved). We then went on the train ride (very short and mainly underground, and therefore quite lame), carousel ride, and in-zoo playground before at last heading back to Tennessee. Home Sweet Home.

Oh Atlanta, I hear you callin' (Post One)

So, we're back from Atlanta. On Day One we went to the Georgia Aquarium, which has a ton of fish, to say the least. If you have kids, or don't but love aquariums, and you're going to Atlanta, take the time to stop here - it's worth it. Jack LOVED it. He especially loved the beluga whales, sea lions, and the big attraction - whale sharks:

We also went to see the 4D movie there. I will tell you all this: if Jack did not have a good time during the movie, as an adult I would tell you: "what a rip!". I think I was expecting more like an IMAX nature movie, but what we for was a 10 minute animated thing we witnessed, featuring the aquarium's animated mascot, "Deepo", who looks oddly like a popular little character you may know as "Nemo", hmmm? To the point that the actor introducing the movie shows Deepo on the screen, and says "Who's this guy", to which the kids all scream "NEMO", and the guy says "That's right, DEEPO!". Anyway, the movie was very, very lame, but at least Jack wore the 3D glasses which was cool. Since he never will put anything on his head/face area (glasses, headphones).

Anyway, Jack loved the aquarium:

He's a Charmer, Ain't He?

Tucker at 2 months....

PHOTO DELETED

Watch him work that grin! He is a big smiler - loves being talked and sung to, and loves sitting up.

After a rough day today (translation: Jack went two days in a row without taking a nap, and was extra crabby and independent as a result, meaning loads of fun for me), I decided I need to pay some more attention to myself. This probably sounds very selfish, but I have neglected hobbies that I think I should take more time for. For example, I bought Adobe Elements from Amazon back in May to further my photography (not that I'm any sort of professional) and have yet to open the box. That is just sad.

So I am uploading the software tonight, just after posting this blog. I owe it to myself. I think I'll be less stressed as a result, therefore making me a better mom to the boys, and a better wife to A.

I'm also getting back into piano. I played for several years, and in addition to that played keyboard, flute, and mallets all during high school. I then quit cold turkey upon entering college. I am really missing it these days, so A and I have decided to purchase this nice piece of equipment:

The beauty is that, not only will I enjoy playing this thing - making memories with the boys of playing music for them and with them - but also, I want both boys to at least try to learn playing the piano, something you just can't do with a keyboard, which is what I have now. I tried this out at Sam Ash the other day and it sounds awesome; plus it's smaller than a real piano and easier to maintain (no tuning; should we ever decide to move one day we would not have to hire movers just for one piece). So I'm selling my old keyboard; a Concertmate 900, for $50. Any takers?

Quick Kiddo Update

Tucker had his 2 mo. checkup today, weighing in at 14.1 lbs. (90-95th percentile) and 23 1/2 in. (75th). He's going to be outta that infant seat before we know it... His doc said he holds his head up like a 6 mo. old, and he pulled out the charm and flashed a big grin for her.

Jack's vocabulary is growing. His latest phrases include "Go Away". This evening it was "Go away, Mommy". I'm not really sure what it's all about, but I'm sure there's some two-year-old independence going on there. Last Tuesday we had out first incident of pushing another child down - luckily the mom was very understanding (I think something along the lines of "Boys will be boys" was said) - luckily he did not repeat it again, so hopefully Jack won't grow up to be the bully. I don't want a weakling either, but somewhere in between would be quite nice...

Kid's a flippin' genius...

And I have proof...

Jack did this. ON HIS OWN. No coaching from me. He just up and did it.

Jack's been watching more Nick Jr. over Playhouse Disney these days. He's addicted to Diego, Dora and Blue's Clues. At least it's more educational, because these days we're so busy it's hard to pull him away from that TV. I finally had to cut it off this morning. Tantrum ensued. What can you say? He's two.

Anyway, I have noticed that Nick Jr. tends to air more commercials than Playhouse Disney, and with Christmas approaching (I know, it's only September, but it seems to start earlier and earlier...) the retailers are really pushing the product. Jamie already blogged about Pooper Scooper Barbie. I've also noticed a Teddy Ruxpin-esque Panda called Study Buddy Koby Bear. He's an "educational" toy, but what does the commercial start with? A joke. A bad one:

Panda Ruxpin: How do you get a handkerchief to dance?
Little girl: How?
Panda Ruxpin: You put a little boogie in it!
HA HA HA HA HA

Oh, that's education right there. Nothin' beats a nose-picking joke. And who's getting this for their kid's stocking?

I know someone's about to wake up, so I'll keep this quick...

Just a quick post to let everyone know that all is well in our household. Tucker's 4 week checkup was just over a week ago, and kiddo weighed in at 11 lbs., 9 oz. Child is a chunk! Especially when compared to skinny little Jack. But he's healthy and thriving and we couldn't be happier. We're having a hard time getting him to sleep once he's laid down, so there's lots of napping in swings going on these days. And due to the issues of getting two children to nap at the same time each day so I can work, I'm going back to working nights, which can be so hard. As far as working, it works out because I'm truly more of a night person, but when I work that makes me stay up later at night because I am wired from working, and that just makes it so much harder to wake up bright and early each morning to care for the boys. However, as Tucker grows this will all change and work itself out.

And Tucker's crying for a bottle now, so I'm cutting this post short...
